Disney on Broadway Anniversary Concert Will Be Streamed
Disney celebrated 25 magical years on Broadway last November. The Disney on Broadway Anniversary Concert, a sold-out event at the New Amsterdam Theatre, will now be streamed online to raise money during the COVID-19 crisis.
🚨Update (4/14): The concert has been rescheduled to Friday, April 17. Originally, it had been planned for Monday, April 13.
Update (4/8): Broadway remains dark through at least June 7th.
Where and When to See the Live Stream
Broadway went dark in early March and the Tony Awards have already been postponed but you can still enjoy Broadway performances from the comfort of your home. In response to the pandemic, Disney on Broadway’s Anniversary Concert will be streamed to raise money for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS’ COVID-19 Emergency Assistance Fund that will help support everyone impacted, meaning not only those on stage but also backstage. If you donate to BroadwayCares, your donation will be matched dollar-for-dollar by more than 20 Broadway producers.
The live stream will be hosted by Frozen’s Ryan McCartan.
