NYC Passes Comparison at One Glance
It’s important to understand a key difference: Some passes are attraction-based, meaning you choose the number of attractions beforehand, while others are day-based, meaning that you choose the number of days beforehand. Besides the type and validity, other differences can be found when it comes to inclusions, advantages, pricing, and discounts.

It is hard to say which is the best New York Pass as they each serve a different purpose. NYC sightseeing is made easy by all three of them, however which one is best for you, depends on how many attractions you wish to see a day, how many days you wish to visit attractions in NYC for, and whether these days will be consecutive.
Considering that there are between 9 to over 100 inclusions depending on the pass, you can be sure that there are many differences. The extensive offers cover many attractions, museums, cruises, tours as well as other inclusions such as airport transfer and discounts at restaurants. Below, you can see a full New York Passes Comparison focused on inclusions.

What about Fast Tracks?
Please know that attraction passes primarily focus on price, not on time. That being said, the passes do include a few fast tracks that allow you to skip the line. They are, however, not that many. The CityPASS does not offer any fast tracks. You can, however, upgrade your tickets at the attractions at additional costs.
Sightseeing Flex Pass
Sightseeing Day Pass
New York Pass
Go NY Explorer Pass
All attraction passes offer you a good cost-benefit ratio. They all allow you to buy in bulk and save money on admission fees. Based on your travel style and the attractions you want to visit, one pass can turn out to be cheaper for you than others. The general rule of thumb: the higher the regular ticket price for an attraction, the more money you will save if that attraction is included in the sightseeing pass. The more days/attractions you have the pass for, the more money you will save on attraction tickets.

- Day-based passes, like the New York Pass and the New York Sightseeing Pass, are generally more expensive but also can yield you the largest savings. The more attractions you visit, the more you save per attraction. In order to make a day pass pay off, you should at least visit 2-3 attractions a day.
- When it comes to attraction-based passes, you can save the most money by choosing attractions with high admission fees. Because you have a fixed number of attractions already, you also have a fixed average cost per attraction. If an attraction is more expensive than the average, you save.
