Courtyard by Marriott New York Downtown ManhattanHotels & Accommodations in Financial DistrictOur Highlight

Archer HotelHotels & Accommodations in Midtown Manhattan
4 Stars | The Archer Hotel is a boutique hotel right on Bryant Park – the perfect location! The rooms are truly stylish and from some of them you can even see the Empire State Building. What we also liked: the small bar on the roof of the hotel!
Arlo NoMadHotels & Accommodations in Midtown Manhattan

Hard to beat.

Broadway Plaza HotelHotels & Accommodations in Midtown Manhattan

Courtyard New York ManhattanHotels & Accommodations in Hudson Yards
3 Stars | The Courtyard New York Manhattan/Midtown West in New York is located at the Hudson Yards and offers cool design, its own restaurant and bar. The view from the rooms on the higher floors is great – depending on where you stay, you can overlook either the Hudson River or see the Empire State Building.
Crosby Street HotelHotels & Accommodations in SoHo
5 stars | In my opinion, the design hotel “Crosby Street Hotel” is one of the most beautiful hotels in all of New York. Like “The Mercer”, it is located in trendy and exclusive SoHo in the direct vicinity of the Museum of Modern Art Design (MOMA). The area is perfect for going out, shopping and eating!
The 86 rooms and suites are super-stylish. The rooms are large, high, open and bright. The interior – for which Kit Kemp is responsible – offers a wonderful contrast to the loft-like windows, which are huge and reach down to the floor. Everything looks modern, but not without warmth. An absolute design highlight! The Crosby Bar & Terrace offers high standard food at any time of day – the cocktails in particular have a very good reputation.
Doubletree By Hilton New York Times Square WestHotels & Accommodations in Midtown Manhattan
4 stars | There are not one but several hotels within a few blocks of the Doubletree By Hilton New York Times Square. In my opinion, the “Times Square West” is the best of the bunch. From the upper rooms you have a great view of the city and there is even a roof terrace.

Element Times Square WestHotels & Accommodations in Hell's Kitchen

Eurostar Wall StreetHotels & Accommodations in Financial District
4 stars | This boutique hotel is located in New York’s financial district, in the heart of Wall Street, just a few meters from One World Observatory, the 9/11 Memorial and the Brooklyn Bridge.
The Eurostars Wall Street offers spacious rooms equipped with every comfort, including cable TV, microwave and refrigerator. In our opinion this hotel is, thanks to all these services and its rooms of different sizes and capacities, an ideal hotel for families.

Which means The Edge observation deck and Madison Square Garden are right around the corner. It is fairly new hotel, the rooms are very bright and stylish. The Fairfield Inn even has its own rooftop terrace and bar – pretty amazing for a 3-star-hotel!
Four Seasons Hotel New York DowntownHotels & Accommodations in Financial District
5 Stars | Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown is one of the 5-star hotels in this area, offering luxury on all levels: a great bar, swimming pool, spa and a restaurant by celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck. So if you are looking for a very special hotel, you should check this one out.
Gansevoort Hotel Meatpacking DistrictHotels & Accommodations in Meatpacking District
5 Stars | The owners of the Gansevoort hotels place great emphasis on design, which you will immediately notice. Its location in the Meatpacking District puts you right in the middle of everything: the High Line, great restaurants and bars are in the immediate vicinity (the Meatpacking District is one of my favorite parts of the city). It also has a large pool from where you can look out over the rooftops of the city. It feels so luxurious!
Heritage Hotel New York CityHotels & Accommodations in Flatiron District
3 Stars | The Heritage Hotel New York City is a budget insider tip in the Flatiron District. The rooms are clean (though small) – but you’re right in the middle of the action. It’s perfect for anyone looking for an affordable hotel in a good location. If you are just looking for a room to sleep, so to speak, this is the one for you.
Hilton Garden Inn West 35th StreetHotels & Accommodations in Midtown Manhattan
3 Stars | The Hilton Garden Inn West 35th Street made it onto my list of the best hotels in New York, not only because it’s sensationally located – many of the most famous sights like the Empire State Building, Bryant Park and Times Square are all within easy walking distance. But also because its price-performance-ratio is outstanding!
Holiday Inn Express Wall StreetHotels & Accommodations in Financial District
3 Stars | The Holiday Inn Wall Street is located directly at the One World Observatory and is a really great budget hotel. Holiday Inn’s in New York are always rather bare, but in no way bad. The Holiday Inn Wall Street has relatively small rooms, but they are definitely clean. The Holiday Inn Express is less than 800 meters from the New York Stock Exchange, the New York City Police Museum and the South Street Seaport. Even a small gym is available.
Hotel 31Hotels & Accommodations in Midtown Manhattan
2 Stars | Hotel 31 is located between Park and Lexington Heights on 31st Street, hence the name. Around the hotel there are various cafés, restaurants & bars – we were really satisfied! The Empire State Building, Times Square, Herald Square and Madison Square Park are within easy walking distance. The hotel is almost a bargain by New York standards: prices for double rooms start at 120 EUR (excluding breakfast). The rooms are deliberately kept simple, but this is absolutely fine for a couple of nights. And you will likely use your hotel room mostly for sleeping anyway. Some rooms have their own bathroom – others have a shared bathroom on the same floor and an extra bathroom with toilet. These are cleaned several times a day and are therefore pretty much spotless. The hotel won’t win any design awards in the near future, but the location, the price and the cleanliness make Hotel 31 a recommendation!
Hotel 50 BoweryHotels & Accommodations in Chinatown
4 Stars | Hotel 50 in Chinatown New York is a stylish boutique hotel with a cool roof terrace and very stylish rooms. You’ll be right in the middle of the action and within easy walking distance of great spots like the Lower East Side, East Village and Soho.
Hotel BeaconHotels & Accommodations in Upper West Side
4 Stars | The Hotel Beacon is my insider tip for the Upper West Side: The hotel is legendary in the area. Each room even has a small kitchenette. Can’t recommend enough!
Hotel HugoHotels & Accommodations in Hudson Square
4 Stars | The Hotel Hugo in SoHo was designed by architect Marcello Pozzi and is a successful blend of industrial design and art. The perfect location in the trendy SoHo district is just as brilliant as the excellent service and the wonderful rooms.
The rooftop lounge on the top floor is a real highlight! The rooms are loft-style and if you’re hungry, the Italian restaurant at Hotel Hugo should be your first choice!
Hotel Indigo Lower East Side New YorkHotels & Accommodations in Lower East Side
4 Stars | The rooms of the Indigo Hotel are stylishly furnished and each bathroom has a bathtub. And notable for anyone that isn’t the greatest fan of air-cons: The windows in the rooms can be tilted. Where else do you find that in a Manhattan hotel?
