The atmosphere at both arenas is unbelievable, starting right at the beginning when the national anthem is played and everybody gets up from their seats; you will get goose bumps for sure!
What else do I like about watching basketball in New York? You don’t have to travel far, because the stadiums are within easy reach! The New York Knicks play at Madison Square Garden in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, and you can either walk there or take the subway lines to “34 Street – Penn Station”.
The Brooklyn Nets play their games at the Barclays Center, and you can get there by subway, only 20 minutes from Times Square, via lines to “Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr.”,

On my list of the most important flagship stores in New York City is, of course, the NBA Store on Fifth Avenue. Even if you don’t buy anything there, it’s worth a visit. One of its many attractions allows for you to compare the size of your hands with Shaquille O’Neal and other NBA stars, as the store has concrete casts made in their likeness.

NBA games take place from October to June. Until March/April is the regular season, and after its conclusion, the playoffs begin. Whether you can watch the Knicks or Nets after the regular season concludes depends on if they made it to the playoffs. Honestly, the Brooklyn Nets have a much better chance than the New York Knicks to go far into the playoffs.
