Gansevoort Hotel New York in the Meatpacking District

The Gansevoort Hotel is right in the center of the Meatpacking District, just one block from the High Line Park. It is famous for its many celebrity guests and its exclusive rooftop pool. This is definitely one of the most well known hotels in NYC for a good reason!

The Gansevoort Hotel View

Hotel Gansevoort in the Meatpacking District

As a hotel guest, you can sit around the pool and gaze over the rooftops of the city. What makes this location particularly special is that you can enjoy the beautiful sunset over the Hudson River daily. During our stay we were very impressed with the hotel, especially with the views. The hotel therefore earned its rightful place among our top 16 New York Hotels with great views.

The Gansevoort Hotel is particularly well known for its beautifully illuminated outdoor pool that gives you some amazing photo opportunities. There rooftop bar The Plunge is also a great place to start the night, however a little too expensive in our opinion –there are a few better options nearby for the same price. Check out our city neighborhood guide for Chelsea Market at Meatpacking District and our list of the best rooftop bars in the city.
