5 Stars | The owners of the Gansevoort hotels place great emphasis on design, which you will immediately notice. Its location in the Meatpacking District puts you right in the middle of everything: the High Line, great restaurants and bars are in the immediate vicinity (the Meatpacking District is one of my favorite parts of the city). It also has a large pool from where you can look out over the rooftops of the city. It feels so luxurious! 

5 Stars | The Dominick Hotel prides itself being the only 5-star-hotel in all of Soho and Hudson Square! It also happens to be the tallest building in Soho, so you have a great view over the city. We stayed here for a few days at the end of my road trip by camper through the entire USA. The pool is not big, but in summer it was our favorite place!

5 stars | Right on the border of the two trendy neighborhoods of Dumbo and Brooklyn Heights, you’ll find 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge. The building gives you the impression that it’s paying homage to the area’s past and history. Celebrities and artists in particular love the environmentally conscious hotel and its unique and stellar location.

5 Stars | The Williamsburg Hotel is located in the popular neighborhood in Brooklyn, Williamsburg. This area is known for creatives and young professionals. It has a very rustic and artistic atmosphere.  It is a 5-star hotel with fantastic views: from the roof with its restaurant as well as from the pool you can look out over the Manhattan skyline. Not only that, but it is very well-connected to the Subway, so you can quickly get anywhere you want to go.

4 stars | The CODA Williamsburg in Brooklyn is a boutique hotel and one of New York’s best-known pool hotels. There’s free WiFi, a 24/ gym and the rooms feature walk-in rain showers.

Like the other hotels, it has a rooftop bar, from where you have a relaxing view of Manhattan and the surrounding area. The pool is one of the largest pools out of all the hotels. Here you will be able to enjoy the summer.

5 stars | The ModernHaus (formerly known as the James Hotel) is located in SoHo and only a few blocks from another popular hotel, The Dominick. Being located in SoHo, you’ll have access to some of the best stores in the world. The ModernHaus has a nice rooftop pool with amazing views.

4 Stars | The highlights of the Sixty LES are definitely the rooftop pool, gym, and spa. The stylish rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows. My advice: When booking, definitely ask for a room on one of the higher floors and, with a little luck, enjoy a great view of the Empire State Building.

4 Stars | Hotel Indigo is located in the trendy Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn (there is a second location in Manhattan) and it is one of the few hotels that can offer you this view in this borough. If you are looking for a hotel in an urban and creative environment that is also luxurious, Hotel Indigo in Brooklyn is a wonderful option!The highlights are an outdoor pool on the roof and a sun terrace. 

What I find especially beautiful about the Hotel Indigo? From your hotel room you can enjoy an unobstructed view of the sunset over Manhattan! 

5 Stars | The Equinox Hotel at Hudson Yards is one of the newest and most trendy hotels in New York, and we were lucky enough to stay there for two days. The highlight (apart from the hotel itself) is the rooftop bar and lounge overlooking the Hudson River. Spectacular. 

5 stars | The hotel with which is probably the best view over Central Park and Columbus Circle is the Mandarin Oriental. This luxurious hotel is a wonderful mix of Asian-inspired and classic design. The rooms are incredibly beautifully decorated and offer a panoramic view over Central Park. You’re spoiled for choice – either take the rooms facing Central Park or those with views that range the George Washington Bridge to the Statue of Liberty – but all have in common that the views through the floor-to-ceiling windows are spectacular.

5 Stars | If you’re looking for a hotel in NYC with a view, then look no further than The William Vale Hotel. This location is a luxury hotel in Brooklyn that features balconies in a variety of rooms that shows off the fantastic surrounding views of the city. And they even have a large rooftop swimming pool, from which you can also take in those views.

And of course, like any luxury hotel, The William Vale also includes a rooftop bar named the Westlight. As well as a restaurant named Leuca which serves Italian styled dishes including wood-fired pizzas and pastas cooked by the in-house chefs.

5 Stars | Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown is one of the 5-star hotels in this area, offering luxury on all levels: a great bar, swimming pool, spa and a restaurant by celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck. So if you are looking for a very special hotel, you should check this one out.

4 stars | The Margaritaville Resort Times Square is the only hotel in Times Square with a rooftop pool and brings Mexico to New York! It’s really exciting because I’ve never noticed Times Square with “tropical” touches before. That’s changing now, as the Margaritaville Resort Times Square is bringing a palm tree and beach vacation feel to the Big Apple.

In the hotel itself there are two restaurants and several bars: a Tiki bar, the Licence to Chill and the 5 O’Clock Somewhere bar. You see, they don’t take themselves too seriously, which I really like!

4 stars | The Sonder Battery Park is a hotel that is located only 1km away from One World Trade Center. The studio apartments offer a fully equipped kitchen with dining area, a private bathroom with bath or shower and of course air conditioning. Free WiFi is also available in the accommodations. During the hotter seasons you can refresh yourself in the rooftop pool while you enjoy the amazing waterfront view. 

Besides the One World Trade Center you also find the 9/11 Memorial and the Wall Street within walking distance.
