The Edge Hudson Yards Observation Deck

The new Hudson Yards observation deck called Edge has been open since 2020 and is one of the best attractions in New York. Here you can get the most important information and tickets about New York’s new highest observation deck with 360° panoramic view of the Big Apple!

There are two different types of tickets available. You can purchase a regular admission ticket, where you have to enter Edge at a specific date and time, or you can purchase flex tickets to be able to go at a specific date but are flexible with the time.

But Hudson Yards doesn’t just have office buildings it was also designed to attract visitors as well. In addition to the shopping center, The Shops at Hudson Yards, a Spanish food market, and many really great restaurants, the tallest outdoor viewing platform in the western hemisphere was built. Views will be endless and will definitely give the Top of the Rock, Empire State Building and One World Trade some competition.

The Sightseeing Pass is currently the only New York attraction pass to include admission to the Edge. If you are a pass holder, your ticket is already covered and you do not need to book a ticket in advance.

Is the Edge at Hudson Yards open?

Highlights of the Hudson Yards Observation Deck

Edge at Hudson YardsThe 30 Hudson Yards skyscraper is the largest out of all the new Hudson Yards district at over 1,000 feet. The new platform is located on the 100th floor. Again, this platform is the highest outdoor observation deck in the western hemisphere and the 5th tallest in the world.  There are so many highlights that Edge amazes us with.

There’s a glass triangle at the center that lets you look down onto the city below. On top of that, there are angled glass walls at the front of the deck that allows people to lean out ever so slightly over Manhattan. If you want, you can also host your private event here. Check out the 10,000-square-foot event space with a full restaurant and bar. Feeling fancy? Simply enjoy a glass of champagne at the champagne bar during your visit to the Edge.

The Edge in NYC:  The Views

The triangular Edge extends 80 feet off of the south which will offer incredible views of New York City. You’ll be able to see Manhattan, the iconic Statue of Liberty and the beautiful Central Park as well as New Jersey which is right across the river. To enjoy these spectacular views at the Edge you will have to hop on a 60-second ride on two double-stacked elevators.

Tickets for The Edge

Tickets for the Edge at Hudson Yards are on sale now for the tallest man-made outdoor viewing platform in the Western Hemisphere.

There are two different types of tickets available. You can purchase a regular admission ticket, where you have to enter Edge at a specific date and time, or you can purchase flex tickets to be able to go at a specific date but are flexible with the time.  

Make sure you also check out other observation decks in NYC as it can give you multiple viewpoints of the city. Decks can be located at One World Observatory, Empire State Building, Top of The Rock, The Statue of Liberty Crown and since the end of 2021, One Vanderbilt -The Summit.
