High Street on Hudson NYC
A wonderful breakfast spot in the Meatpacking District!
The Meatpacking District is one of my favorite neighborhoods in New York. This is because of its many highlights like the High Line, the Whitney Museum, and the rooftop bars nearby. You will also find many great restaurants and cafes. High Street on Hudson NYC is one of them.
Instead of having breakfast at our hotel, we prefer to explore nice breakfast spots in the area. No matter where you are in New York, you will usually find both classic diners and stylish hipster coffee shops and cafés. High Street on Hudson is one of these trendy spots that make the area so special.
Why we love High Street on Hudson NYC
With the best weather conditions, we ended up having breakfast here twice and enjoyed the beautiful outdoor seating. The outdoor area offers views of the new observation deck “The Edge” at Hudson Yards as well as the High Line which is only two blocks away.
What makes the High Street on Hudson NYC so special? Their croissants and other pastries are homemade. Whatever you order, it tastes fresh and delicious. Our favorite from their menu is the classic avocado toast with “watermelon roots” – it’s a root that actually resembles a watermelon when sliced (see avocado toast picture).
ON WEEKENDS, BREAKFAST ONLY STARTS FROM 10 AM!
We absolutely love granola with yogurt and fruits. It’s the perfect start into a new day in New York City. Of course, you can order it at High Street on Hudson NYC. Add a freshly squeezed orange juice and a coffee and you are all set to explore the unique Meatpacking District!
