Dos Casminos is especially known for its spicy guacamole and the very good sangria. The charm that the restaurant exudes in each of the 5 locations is absolutely authentic Mexican and provides a successful change after a long working day or a strenuous sightseeing day.

Fig & Olive is an upscale restaurant serving seasonal Mediterranean fare. We discovered the restaurant at the end of 2016 during our tour of the Meatpacking District and are still very excited about it (see the Meatpacking District Insider Guide). Very close to The Standard High Line Hotel at the end of High Line Park, it is located in one of the old “warehouse” buildings that are so typical for the district.

    Hector's Café and Diner

Under the High Line, tucked away in the vibrant Meatpacking District, is an all-day brunch paradise that is a favorite among locals – Hector’s Café and Diner. This nostalgic diner has served mouthwatering meals since 1949 and is a cherished part of the district’s history.

With no set brunch or dinner hours, you can pop in anytime and enjoy their amazing menu. At this restaurant, the only question is are you an omelet lover, or do you prefer pancakes? But for me? I usually go for their Avocado or Feta Cheese Omelette or Pancakes with Chocolate Chips – these will have you coming back for more!

    La Pecora Bianca (Meatpacking District)

You’ll find one of the best brunch places in the Meatpacking District right on Washington Street. It’s called La Pecora Bianca, and it’s a charming Italian gem situated not far from the Whitney Museum of American Art.

And come the weekend, between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm, this restaurant and private dining room brim with laughter, clinking glasses, and delicious Italian cuisine. Think house-made pasta and creative takes on Italian classics – doesn’t that sound yummy? Now, let’s talk about my food recommendations. The Avocado Toast with a spicy twist or the indulgent LPB Egg Breakfast Sandwich are my personal faves. And the cocktails? They’re a class of their own!

  5. 05

    Old Homestead Steakhouse

The restaurant operators have a wonderful attitude towards their core business: they clearly live and communicate their love of beef and traditions. For the Old Homestead Steakhouse only the meat of the highest category “Prime aged USDA” is eligible for the steaks. The Steakhouse, which was opened in 1868, is still located on exactly the same property!

    Pastis

Head on over to 52 Gansevoort Street near the High Line and the Whitney Museum, and you’ll find Pastis. This cute cafe brings a touch of Parisian charm to your brunch menu, which is served from 10 am to 3 pm on the weekends.

At Pastis, you can savor a scrumptious Croque Madame or eat the classic French Omelette. Its vintage atmosphere adds a touch of nostalgia to your dining experience. So, it’s a spot where history, good food, service, and ambiance combine to make it one of the best brunch Meatpacking District NYC options.

Philippe Downtown maintains the original modern aesthetic and focuses on delivering an exceptional dining experience with signature dishes like Chicken Satay, Salt and Pepper Lobster, and the renowned Peking Duck. To elevate your experience, the restaurant features rotating DJs.

At Philippe, they are committed to providing a luxurious dining experience for lunch and dinner. Their signature dishes, such as Salt & Pepper Eggplant, Filet Mignon with Oyster Sauce, and the tableside-carved Peking Duck with house-made pancakes, showcase the freshest ingredients, meticulous attention to detail, cultural authenticity, and thoughtful preparation in every dish.

    RH Rooftop

    American Restaurant in Meatpacking District

Now, if you’re seeking a dash of luxury with your meal, then look no further than RH Rooftop. Perched atop the Restoration Hardware furniture store in the Meatpacking District, it’s not just about the food at this restaurant; it’s about the experience!

Soak in breathtaking views of the neighborhood while enjoying their Avocado Toast, featuring charred sourdough and aged balsamic. Or if that’s not for you, the RH Scramble is a sumptuous blend of farm eggs, crème fraîche, avocado, and chives. And though this brunch restaurant is super lavish, you won’t need to empty your wallet to experience this slice of luxury, making it one of my favorite brunch restaurants in New York City.

  9. 09

    The Chester

    American Restaurant in Meatpacking District
    Add to myNY added

A local favorite in the Meatpacking District, The Chester offers an appealing brunch menu and craft cocktails that are perfect for weekend brunches from 11 am to 3 pm. And the best part is that it’s conveniently located near the Whitney Museum of American Art. So, it’s a great place to refuel after a day of walking.

Here, I recommend their Avocado Toast with an added soft-boiled egg or the sweet waffles with boneless fried chicken from their Chicken & Waffles dish. But the truth is that it doesn’t matter what you choose at The Chester – all of their food is filled with flavor and worth trying.
