There are several different New York passes that allow you to purchase cheap attraction tickets. These New York City attraction passes can save you up to 70% compared to the regular ticket prices. Below you will find the find the full review & comparison for the three major passes.

New York CityPASS, New York Pass & the Explorer Pass

Each tourist pass gives you the ability to enter countless NYC attractions, museums, and tours free of charge after you purchase the pass. As you are essentially buying the tickets in bulk prior to your trip, you will receive discounts on the tickets and save up to 70%.

The New York pass comparison below, shows you the difference between the three major New York tourist passes. They are an amazing way to save money and make your life less stressful during your trip to NYC. Depending on which attractions you visit, you can save up to 70% in comparison to buying the attraction tickets individually.

It is hard to say which is the best New York Pass as they each serve a different purpose. NYC sightseeing is made easy by all three of them, however which one is best for you, depends on how many attractions you wish to see a day, how many days you wish to visit attractions in NYC for, and whether these days will be consecutive.NYC Pass Comparison

  • We recommend the CityPASS for: short trips where you want to see only the top NYC attractions.
  • We recommend the New York Pass for: trips where you want to buy a day pass (for up to 10 days) that allows you to view as many NYC attractions as you like. This pass is also great if you don’t want to commit to which attractions you want to see beforehand. This pass is also ideal for lovers of museums, as most of these have a fast track option!
  • We recommend the Explorer Pass for: trips where you want to visit a certain number of NYC attractions, potentially on non-consecutive days.

Each of the three passes has advantages depending on its particular focus. This makes it difficult to describe one of the passes as better than the other. The amount of money you save depends on which tours and attractions you choose and in the case of the New York Pass, how many attractions you visit per day.

The general rule of thumb: the higher the regular ticket price for an attraction, the more money you will save if that attraction is included in the sightseeing pass. The more days/attractions you have the pass for, the more money you will save on attraction tickets.
