This beautiful little restaurant has everything I like: it is cozy, beautifully decorated, the food is delicious and in summer you can sit together romantically in a small courtyard!

We originally wanted to go to one of our favorite spots for breakfast in Westville NYC, but because it was still closed, we walked a little further. From the outside, Hudson Clearwater is relatively nondescript and we only stopped because the view into Hudson Clearwater was promising. What can I say? The breakfast was insane!

Our breakfast at the Hudson Clearwater

Hudson Clearwater is an American restaurant with a French twist, you can see that in the beautiful decor. There is a main room with a small bar and an open kitchen that sits between the main room and the open patio. We sat right by the window so we could even see our breakfast being prepared!

THE HUDSON CLEARWATER IS ONE OF THOSE LITTLE GEMS THAT MAKES NYC SO UNIQUE FOR US!

We were spoiled for choice at breakfast, as everything sounded delicious: Tino had French Breakfast (an omelet with cherry tomatoes, mushrooms and a small salad) and I went for the poached egg with mushrooms (the avocado toast is great too!).

The egg was on point, the mushrooms were mega delicious and the service crew rounded out the spot in a positive way: Our service team was there for us the whole time without being pushy – it was just very relaxed and the perfect start to the day.

But also, if you’re looking for restaurants that are good for dinner in the evening, Hudson Clearwater is a great option. The selection of main menus, wines and cocktails is small but nice. And after that, there are 2-3 wine bars waiting for you in close proximity in the West Village.
