1. Location
Hotel 31 in New York is located between Park and Lexington Avenues on — you guessed it! — 31st Street. Just 2 blocks away, you will find the restaurant Les Halles. Hotel 31 in New York is surrounded by various cafés, restaurants & bars – we never went hungry or thirsty! The Empire State Building, Times Square, Herald Square, and Madison Square Park are also within walking distance. A perfect location to discover New York!
2. Guest rooms and hotel staff
Given how expensive New York is, this hotel is almost a bargain: rates for a double room start at 56 GBP (breakfast not included). The room decor at the Hotel 31 in New York is kept simple, but since you are generally out all day and night exploring and spend time in your room only to catch some sleep, this is not a problem. There are several rooms with a private bath — others share a bathroom located on the same floor. These are cleaned several times a day and we have never had a bad experience.
Our tip
If you want to be closer to Union Square / East Village, we recommend staying at the sister property, “Hotel 17“. It is very similar – clean, small rooms (that are just fine), and a great location!
