It’s the “hanging” outdoor observation platform which is surrounded by glass walls so visitors can get a better view of the city. Also, a portion of the floor is made out of glass so you can look down 10th avenue. Edge is the highest outdoor observation deck in the Western Hemisphere.

High Line
Park in Meatpacking DistrictOur HighlightAdd to myNY addedThere are few parks as unique as the High Line. To me, the best time to really enjoy the High Line is during the summer months. The elevated freight rail line, located right by Hudson Yards, was repurposed as a public green space that opened in 2009 and now offers amazing views of the city, as well as a place to relax and unwind.
The newest portion of the High Line park is now taking you right to Hudson Yards. The beautiful park, whom’s plant life is based directly off what was growing there while it was abandoned, giving this park a unique and interesting atmosphere!
The High Line stretches from The Meatpacking District all the way to Hudson Yards-34th Street and now feeds directly into Hudson Yards as well.

It features a 20,000 square-foot USDA-approved slaughter facility which was designed by animal welfare expert, Temple Grandin. Belcampo made its NYC debut at Hudson Yards in 2019 and features a section where customers can buy their packaged meats and bone broth, as well as a dine-in area for their restaurant.

Mall in Hudson YardsAdd to myNY addedAs much as I love the warmth of the sun in the summer in New York City. I also enjoy cooler shopping malls to escape from the heat if I feel like it. As one of my favorite things to do in summer at Hudson Yards the Shops at Hudson Yards are the newest shopping experience in NYC and the perfect place to cool off a little. Here you’ll find luxury designer stores and fine dining restaurants.

Circle Line - Best of NYC Cruise
Cruise in Midtown ManhattanOur HighlightAdd to myNY addedJust a short walking distance from Hudson Yards, you’ll reach the home of Circle Line Cruises in New York. One of my favorites cruises that I’ll enjoy every summer is the Best of NYC Cruise which takes you once around the whole island of Manhattan.
This is a great way to explore the city from the water and see more than 25 of the top sights NYC has to offer. You will also get a chance to see Hudson Yards from a different perspective. Since this is one of the most popular cruises make sure to book your tickets beforehand online to secure your spot.

Mercado Little Spain
Food Market in Hudson YardsAdd to myNY addedThe Food Hall in the Hudson Yards is a concept room created by chef José Andrés, whose focus is on Spanish cuisine (as the name suggests). The concept is very similar to the Italian Food Market “Eataly”, which I find so ingenious.
In Mercado Little Spain you can either buy Spanish food or eat in one of the three restaurants. Authentic food from Spain always reminds me of summer, so there’s probably no better time going to Mercado Little Spain than during the summer and enjoy a fresh sangria.
