For the first time we noticed the French restaurant in summer: the windows can be opened completely and because it is so small, you have a window seat & table all to yourself, so to speak. Super-romantic and that’s why it immediately landed on our list of the most romantic restaurants in NYC.

Finally we made it: to visit the Little Prince in Prince Street / SoHo. If you are looking for a small, nice and cozy restaurant in SoHo, this is the place for you. For me it is one of the best restaurants in Soho NYC!

We first noticed the French restaurant in the summer: the windows can be opened wide and because it’s so small, you have a window seat & table all to yourself, so to speak. Super-romantic and that’s why it immediately landed on our list of the most romantic restaurants in NYC.

Since we had no reservation, we had to take a seat at the bar first – which in retrospect was not so wrong. Because it allowed us to strike up a conversation with the bartender and chat about the wine list. It fits into the overall concept of the Little Prince: the selection is straightforward with only one page in the wine list (which I like) and each wine is briefly described. We opted for a more complex French red wine, which was really delicious.

Impressions of the Little Prince Restaurant

As you can see from the pictures, the restaurant is really cozy: small tables and a young service crew that is on their toes. We felt really comfortable.

Actually, we just wanted to eat a snack, but it is then ordered a main menu: Steak & Fries. Fried to perfection and a real highlight. And when we saw the dessert menu, we just had to order the Nutella Crème Brûlée, there was no way around it!

My conclusion

The Little Prince is a wonderful little French place in SoHo, which is a real tip especially for a romantic date. Price-wise, it’s on the higher end, with entrees ranging from $20-$40 per person.

You should book in advance, all tables were permanently occupied until 10 pm during our visit (during the week).
