The Ambience at Red Hook Lobster Pound

Red Hook Lobster Pound

The restaurant is a pretty big space and can fit a good amount of customers. The wooden and rustic tables paired with the decors on the wall gives it a seafood restaurant vibe similar to something you’ll find in New England.

Our Lunch at the Restaurant

Let’s face it, we think it’s pretty difficult to find great quality seafood in NYC, but Red Hook Lobster Pound serves some pretty awesome food. For an appetizer, we had the New England Clam Chowder. We’ve tried a bunch of New England Clam Chowder’s here in NYC and this is by far the most accurate as far as texture and taste. If anyone has had proper NE Clam Chowder, they should know that it’s supposed to be served with oyster crackers. They do that here and the attention to detail is key. Next, we had their fried oyster roll. It was simple and the fried oysters were cooked to perfection. Last but not least, we had the popular Steve’s Key Lime Pie.
