The rooftop bar Penthouse808 is our latest discovery in Long Island City, Queens. It’s more than just a rooftop bar however. Penthouse808 also features a large lounge area, meaning that this place is even packed during the winter months. With a total space of over 7500 square feet, Penthouse808 also has an excellent restaurant with a Hawaiian-Asian inspired menu. Be sure to book a table well in advance if you want to have dinner here. It is a great spot to enjoy the wonderful views across the East River (click here for reservations).

As you can tell from the pictures, the views are truly incredible: especially if you are there around dusk and can watch the lights of Manhattan slowly come to life. For this there is really no better place to be than along the East River! Add a perfectly mixed cocktail or glass of wine and the evening is perfect!
