Gregory’s 26 Corner Taverna in Astoria

Astoria in Queens is going through gentrification and there have been major changes over these last few years. However, when you visit Astoria, especially the last two stops at Astoria Blvd. and Astoria-Ditmars Blvd. you’ll notice that there is a heavy Greek influence in the neighborhood. Therefore, there are many great Greek restaurants and we decided to go ahead and try out Gregory’s 26 Corner Taverna.

Neighborhood Restaurant

Gregory’s 26 Corner Taverna is located on the last stop, Astoria-Ditmars Boulevard. The name itself pretty much gives you a hint of the address. It’s on the corner of 23rd Street and 26th Avenue. This part of Astoria is more residential, so you’ll see a lot of locals come to this place and have a good time. It’s a nice little spot with outdoor and indoor seatings. The front of the restaurant also has a Greek flag and the walls itself is painted with the Greek colors.

Our Meal at Gregory’s 26 Corner Taverna

For our meal we had their rib steak with rice and asparagus, a cheese dish with bread and their lemon potatoes along with other complimentary dishes they brought out to us. All of the food was delicious and flavorful. If you want to learn more about this restaurant please visit their website here.
