The Georges Berges Gallery can be found in the heart of Soho, where you’ll find a splendid mixture of consequential living artists from around the globe. The man, Georges Berges, has always had a way of looking at art with a worldly yet human view, and he used this to create his namesake gallery on Broadway. His vision was to use the gallery to bridge the gap between emerging international collectors and artists, which has been pushed forward recently after a second gallery was opened in Berlin.

Yet, while he believes in representing emerging markets and the artists within them, he also knows how important it is to maintain a significant relationship with the artist and the art. At the Georges Berges Gallery, collectors can acquire original works from upcoming and established artists that have been shown and vetted by prestigious institutions, museums, and private collections around the world.

This gallery prides itself on introducing collectors to the artists and art that will define tomorrow. And though it’s commonplace for collectors to rarely meet the artist behind the work, Berges hopes to bring back Soho’s art scene from the ‘70s and ‘80s, which was much more personal. For this reason, the Georges Berges Gallery is home to a downstairs salon where his collectors and artists can interact and mingle.

When looking for the best art galleries in Soho, you cannot ignore Georges Berges and his unique eye for talented artists who create projects that bring on lives of their own. This famed gallery remains invested in the community and brings nothing but the highest quality exhibits to audiences worldwide.

Upcoming and Past Exhibits

  • Memento Mori - A Mark Tennant Solo Exhibition (from April 11, 2024)

Examples of past exhibits include The Feminine Sublime by Donald Kuspit and Three Mile Harbor Road by Jackson Pollock and Nicolas Carone. The current exhibition on display at the Georges Berges Gallery in Soho is Awakening, New York, by Rafael Pascuale Zamora.

What can you do after visiting Georges Berges Gallery?

If you want to visit more art galleries, I recommend the Brooke Alexander Gallery, Eden Gallery, LIK Fine Art Soho or Jeffrey Deitch. If not, you can go to one of the many great restaurants in SoHo. Two of my favorites are Little Prince, Antique Garage and The Dutch, both a few blocks away.
