Every year thousands of traveler come to New York to celebrate the gay pride events in New York. New York is expecting even more people than last year due to the devastating events the past year. The main highlight is Saturday’s Gay Pride Parade NYC starting at noon on 36th Street and 5th Avenue. The Gay Pride Parade NYC is the main event and the symbol of gay pride here in New York City. The Gay Pride Parade NYC finishes in West Village, from where more than 2 Million people will head over to different after parade party locations. Gay pride in NYC is colorful, freaky, so much fun and something you shouldn’t miss, when you are around.
Where to go after the Gay Pride Parade NYC?
One of the biggest parties after the Gay Pride Parade NYC is the Pride Island Festival at Pier 26 right by the Hudson River (starting at 2pm until 10pm). It’s also one of the biggest benefit events for gay pride. Another great party is the Pride Fest at Hudson Street in the West Village where the crowds are celebrating on the streets with music and drinks. You could also join local bars after the gay pride parade in Chelsea for example. Most likely every bar will have the most colorful party of the year that day. At night the crowds will end up at one of the rooftop bars in the city.
The gay community has grown much bigger and came out stronger as well. Their voice is so loud that for the first time after 48 years of having this event here in the city WABC-TV will be the first TV-Channel broadcasting the parade and the after parties live on TV. We are super excited for this years gay pride parade. We hope to see you all there?
