Manhattan’s Chinatown Lunar New Year Parade is back to usher in the Year of the Dragon, a significant year in the Chinese zodiac. In Chinese astrology, each year is linked to one of the twelve zodiac animals and one of the five elements. In 2024, we celebrate the Year of the Wood Dragon, combining the Dragon sign with the Wood element, symbolizing qualities like growth, adaptability, and generosity. The Wood Dragon is associated with strong principles, creativity, and a compassionate nature.

The Lunar New Year falls on February 10, 2024, but the parade and celebrations take place on February 25, 2024, featuring the Chinese New Year Parade, the Firecracker Ceremony, and the Cultural Festival, all of which are open to the public at no cost.
