There are a bunch of burger restaurants in NYC, with Shake Shack being the most well-known out of all of them. However, we’d like to introduce you to Black Iron Burger in NYC. There are multiple locations scattered throughout Manhattan and each one can get really busy. They even have a dedicated hashtag that claims #NobodyBeatsOurMeat. They have locations in Park Slope, East Village, and Midtown. The restaurant originally started out in the East Village in 2008.
From 2008 to 2013, competition started to change the restaurant industry and the owner of Black Iron Burger was forced to sell the restaurant. Burger spots like Shake Shack made it very difficult. This is where the current owners come in. Victor Ortega and Chef Jaime Guardiola hail from Spain and took over the American restaurant. They focused on the best meat possible and the finest ingredients for their menu. With a revamped menu and branding, Black Iron Burger in NYC is considered one of the best restaurants in the city.
What Does Black Iron Burger have to Offer?
The name says it all. The restaurant offers burgers. And very delicious burgers. For appetizers, we tried their horseradish cheese sticks that came with a bloody mary sauce. We ordered their chimichurri fries as another appetizer which was excellent. For burgers, we had their Black Iron Burger and the Masterpiece. Both of them were great and you can really taste the quality of the ingredients. We finished our meal off with a milkshake. For more information on this restaurant, please visit their site here.
Being a photographer and creative in general, New York City, I think is the perfect place to be. I moved to NYC from Boston in 2013 and never looked back. Loving New York has given me the opportunity to do what I love and share those images with you all.
