Booking a good hotel in NYC doesn’t need to break the bank. We have tested many hotels in NYC and want to share with you our favorite 4 hotels that are completely affordable on a budget.
Cheap hotels in NYC are not a rarity and if you know what to look for you can find a really good one that still meets all of your needs. Below we have shared with you our favorite 4 budget hotels in NYC, that are still an amazing stay. While we do love a good deal, we also don’t think that a low price should mean you have to compromise on quality.
The YOTEL at Times Square is a good example of how a well designed hotel with a good view does not necessarily have to be expensive! The rooms are modern and rather Scandinavian. The rooms are minimalist and instil a certain sense of peace and quiet. I highly recommend the YOTEL for travellers who are looking to stay in the heart of the city but do not want to break their budget. It is one of the most popular hotels in New York, not only because of its rooftop bar with a view over the skyline but also because of its vert competitive pricing.
The Row NYC offers an all round package for travellers with higher expectations. Just a few blocks from the pulsating heart of Manhattan (Times Square) you’ll find yourself in one of the best locations to go sightseeing. You might even find it difficult to stray far from the hotel because right next door you will find the popular Food-Hall City Kitchen. With that next door you might also have to make use of the hotel’s own spinning studio to burn off the extra calories. All in all this is a great deal especially for a place that is right in the heart of Manhattan.
The Aloft Hotel in Downtown Manhattan is located in a superb location because of its proximity to the One World Trade Center and Wall Street. It is a great budget option that still allows you to be in the middle of all the action. This hotel is definitely worth checking out if you are in NYC for the first time and are looking to do a lot of sightseeing. Everything is kept relatively simple but there is no shortage of cleanliness or design. The cost to benefit ratio here hits it on the head for Manhattan, the perfect combination of low budget without having to compromise on quality.
The Wyndham Garden Long Island City Manhattan View is located in Queens, close to the Queensboro Bridge and near the popular Z NYC Hotel. The hotel is well connected by the nearby subway station meaning that it only takes you 10 minutes to get to Times Square. The rooms are nice and definitely a good choice for couples or small families. There are also a variety of culinary options nearby (e.g. Check out Blend on the Water!). I highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a slightly quieter place to stay on a budget!
