The fireworks have historically taken place near the Brooklyn Bridge, but have also happened at the southern tip of Roosevelt Island and the United Nations building. If you’re dying to see the famous 4th of July fireworks from your hotel, or even better, from the rooftop terrace, it’s best to book two hotels and then cancel one for free when the official location on the East River is announced.
