Great Art Deco-Hotel in New York’s Theater District: The Belvedere Hotel New York
1. Location
My wife and I stayed at this hotel in 2010 after the conclusion of our trip along the East Coast. The location of The Belvedere Hotel New York is ideal if you want to be walking distance to Broadway theaters, Times Square, or Rockefeller Center with its observation deck, Top of the Rock. This great hotel in midtown is your best bet for proximity to these sights!
2. Rooms & hotel staff
For New York City standards, the rooms of the Belvedere Hotel New York are comparatively quite large and feature art-deco decor. Beds are extremely comfortable — following our many, long hikes through the streets of Manhattan, this was a welcome treat. Rooms include a coffee maker and microwave. Hotel staff was always friendly and provided good recommendations for bars and restaurants.
The cost /benefit ratio is right!

- Restaurant: Just before you get to the corner of 8th Avenue, there is a Mexican restaurant called “Sombrero” featuring the best guacamole we have ever had!
- Brazil Grill on the corner of 8th Avenue and between 47th Street and 48th Street
